As the founders of Lincoln Funeral Care, we have been active in the funeral industry for countless years. We've watched the price of funerals skyrocket over the past couple of decades-a memorial service that cost $5,000 15 years ago now costs $10,000 or more.
We put our heads together and realized that most families don't require a funeral home-they simply need a funeral director to conduct a professional, meaningful memorial service. These realizations led us to the development of the Lincoln Funeral Plan.
The Lincoln Funeral Plan is our way of preserving the traditional funeral. Our program is uncomplicated-you simply pay the one-time package fee of $5,570 in order to receive everything you need for a funeral service at your graveside or place of worship. This offers families a simple yet dignified way to honor their passed loved ones.
The Owners and Funeral Directors of Lincoln Funeral Care
David R. Pearson
A licensed funeral director and embalmer, David graduated from Southern
Illinois University in Carbondale and Western Illinois University in Macomb.
With over 30 years of funeral service experience he currently manages the
family funeral home that he purchased from his father. He has taken on
leadership roles for many community organizations in the Galesburg area. He
also has served as president of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association
and president of the National Funeral Directors Association.
Eric R. Trimble
Eric graduated from Cornell College in 1968 and from the University of
Minnesota's Department of Mortuary Science in 1969. He then joined his
father, Riley Trimble, in the funeral business on September 1, 1969. Eric
lived in a house next door to a funeral home his entire life, and as a
youngster in grade school he began helping to mow the grass and wash the
cars at the funeral home. Remembering his experiences, he decided to become
a funeral director during his junior year at Cornell College. He offers
nearly 40 years of experience.
Steve Turner
After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Communications from Northern Illinois University in 1973, Steve continued the three-generation Turner tradition and graduated from the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1974. After graduation, Steve partnered with his father in the family funeral home and then became the sole owner upon his father's death in 1994. Applying his love of words to his profession, Steve also writes a homespun monthly column about his experiences as a funeral director in a small town. An advocate for education, Steve and his wife sponsor an annual scholarship at the local community college. He is a past president of the Illinois Funeral Director's Association and is active in his community.
